membership options

To apply for membership with ACSG, please review the levels of membership and eligibility below. 

Click here and follow the prompts to become a member. Your application will be reviewed by the steering committee and you will be notified if you have been successful. Upon approval an invoice will be sent to your email requesting to pay your membership.

full membership: a
nnual fee $150 USD 

Benefits include:

  • Active network in Asia Pacific set up and run by security professionals in the private sector
  • No service provider participation/membership is permitted
  • All members are vetted by the Steering Committee prior to joining
  • Regular conference calls on topics of interest – may be initiated by members
  • Benchmarking on topics of interest – may be initiated by members
  • Regular annual meetings in Singapore and Hong Kong, in addition to satellite meetings in Bangkok, Manila, Dhaka, Mumbai, Shanghai, etc. based on membership demand.
  • Active information sharing via Telegram groups maintained by ACSG
  • Access to website members-only platform, ACSG report library, hosted benchmarking and ACSG Jobs Board.
  • Eligible to stand for the ACSG Committee and vote in annual Committee elections.

To be eligible:

  • Applicant has over 3 years’ work experience in the private sector.
  • Applicants with less than 3 years’ work experience in the private sector may be considered for full membership based on the level of the role held in the private sector. (For example, a director-level or similar role level in the private sector will not be considered for New Professionals membership).
  • Professionals in physical security, intelligence, crisis management, business continuity, investigations, fraud management, executive protection, cyber security will find ACSG membership useful.
  • Other risk professionals will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Applicants employed full-time with a service provider will not be considered for membership.

Application for membership by individuals employed /contracted under a third- party (service provider) payroll and embedded full-time within a client organisation’s security/risk function - will be considered for membership if supported by either an endorsement on the application form or via a separate written confirmation from the client organisation’s immediate manager, stating that the individual has a fully embedded status within the organisation.

new professionals in corporate security (NPCS): annual fee $75 USD

Benefits include:

  • Active network in Asia Pacific set up and run by security professionals in the private sector
  • Active mentoring opportunities by senior security professionals
  • Regular conference calls on topics of interest – may be initiated by members
  • Benchmarking on topics of interest – may be initiated by members
  • Regular annual meetings in Singapore and Hong Kong, in addition to satellite meetings in Bangkok, Manila, Dhaka, Mumbai, Shanghai, etc. based on membership demand.
  • Active information sharing via Telegram groups maintained by ACSG
  • Access to website platform, ACSG report library, hosted benchmarking and ACSG Jobs Board
  • Eligible to vote in annual Committee elections.

To be eligible:

  • Applicant has 0-3 years’ work experience in the private sector. This may include entry- level security professionals, veterans transitioning from military or law enforcement careers to the private sector.
  • Applicants with less than 3 years’ work experience in the private sector may be considered for full membership based on the level of the role held in the private sector. (For example, a director-level or similar role level in the private sector will not be considered for New Professionals membership).
  • Professionals in physical security, intelligence, crisis management, business continuity, investigations, fraud management, executive protection, cyber security will find ACSG membership useful.

government/NGO membership: no fee

Benefits

  • same as full membership except members of government organisations are not permitted to stand or vote for the Committee.


To be eligible:

  • Applicant is a current, full-time staff member of a government program or Applicant is a current, full-time staff member of an NGO or charitable organization.
  • Applicant meets all other criteria for Full or NPCS Membership.

Government applicants will be approved for membership if they have a role that has a clear value to the ACSG membership.

ACSG scholarship program: no fee

Benefits include:

  • Active network in Asia Pacific set up and run by security professionals in the private sector
  • Active mentoring opportunities by senior security professionals
  • Regular conference calls on topics of interest – may be initiated by members
  • Benchmarking on topics of interest – may be initiated by members
  • Regular annual meetings in Singapore and Hong Kong, in addition to satellite meetings in Bangkok, Manila, Dhaka, Mumbai, Shanghai, etc. based on membership demand.
  • Active information sharing via Telegram groups maintained by ACSG

To be eligible:

  • Applicant meets all membership criteria for Full or NPCS Membership.
  • Applicant does not have corporate sponsorship for ACSG membership.
  • Applicant provides a written request to ACSG Steering Committee requesting consideration for ACSG Scholarship in the following format:
    • Name
    • Organisation
    • Role Type and Level
    • City, Country
  • Absence of Corporate Sponsorship and need for exemption
  • Motivation for joining ACSG
  • All Scholarship Program applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are aimed at those unable to pay the membership fee but deserving of memberships.

The Scholarship Program is limited to a small number of spaces, so please help us ensure they go to the most deserving amongst us by exploring your own corporate or self- sponsorship before applying.

associated member: no fee

Benefits include:

  • Invited to join ACSG Telegram groups

To be eligible:

  • Requested by a fully paid up member
  • Must be a single country manager; those with multiple country responsibilities should consider applying for ACSG membership
  • Requirements when submitting request :-
  • Name/ Email and (Mobile number including country code)
  • If the staff leaves the role, access to the group chats must be removed.
  • Responsibility of the member that sponsored the request to ensure the names and details are correct

alumni membership: no fee 

Benefits include:

  • Receipt of Job Postings via e-mail
  • Receipt of the ACSG Compensation Survey via e-mail
  • Access to ACSG Networking events
  • Provision of general update information on ACSG via e-mail

To be eligible:

  • Former member of ACSG in good standing with membership fees paid over the membership period
  • Not currently employed full-time with a security service provider company
  • Those undertaking freelance work will be considered by the committee on a case-by-case basis and may be excluded from certain activities
